It's tough for the Australian squad to set fresh records.

The greatest achievements have already been conquered.

We're talking about the team that has secured seven Cricket World Cups, along with another six T20 titles, and earlier maintained nearly four years without defeat in 50-over cricket.

The remaining milestones, those for the record chasers, are what's still available for a squad that has accomplished all there is.

It needed until Sunday's success by three wickets over India for them to accomplish their maiden ODI chase over 300, regaining their record for the highest in women's cricket's 50-over format, is, in truth, a tribute to the bowling attack that have represented Australia over the past 50 years.

It's challenging for their batters to maintain a record if never given the possibility.

Many contend the case for the pressure of a final. Different voices suggest with the difficulty that comes when pursuing an unprecedented total and a loud pro-India audience of 20,000.

What is certain is this ton was considerably tougher to anticipate.

The Christchurch destruction in 2022 came as she led the batting statistics, but this knock was preceded by six games in India over the past few weeks in which she had failed to pass 30.

"If you've been watching me in practice sessions, it has been a frustrating experience because I feel like my form was missing completely," commented Healy.

"However when you take the field, your competitive nature take over and you completely engage with the contest."

"A chance to go out there and engage in competition with her and simply enjoy myself that way, kind of motivated me," commented Healy.

She achieved fifty in 35 pitches - her swiftest at the global tournament - and her ton in 84 as she attacked short-pitched balls, scoring 21 fours and three maximums.

When she was removed her side needed 66 more at run per delivery - an achievable target now requiring a leisurely stroll.

"Chasing 330 runs is uncharted waters so I'm pleased we have the confidence to achieve that now," added Healy.

"Preferably we shouldn't have to do it another time but, if necessary, we are confident we can do it."

These statements will be the final thing rival teams at this championship should hear.

Over the past five days a feeling they will triumph from any situation has only strengthened - this victory following win against Pakistan by 107 run margin despite sitting at 76-7 at a certain moment.

Subsequently Australia meet Bangladesh before a meeting with traditional opponents England in Indore in a week and a half, by which point a semi-final berth may probably be guaranteed.

It was at that stage they left the previous year's T20 World Cup in a surprising setback by South Africa - a game Healy couldn't play because of ruptured tissue in her foot as she guided Australia for the first time at a significant event.

Victory in India would lead her to the peak of her ultimate challenge.
